If it was going one way but not the other I would have thought problem in control circuits somewhere? but I am not a sparky nor have I ever pulled a trim unit to bits.
Does the motor(and therefore pump) actually run two directions normally or is there a solinoid that reverses hyd flow for the other direction and motor and pump only run one direction?
I dont know just throwing it out there....
Maybe a thermal overload?
SUCCESS at last !. I bet a outboard mechanic would have charged me an arm&leg for that . Love it when a plan comes together :)
About bloody time!
Well dont leave us hanging what was the verdict ?
Dirty contact , fine sand paper sorted it .
Holy shit all that grief for a quick hand job:D
Good stuff, easy fix, not normally that way with boats, but life is better by the sea, and great on the sea, dark giving way to dawn, slight mist, dead calm, slight swell, the sweat sound of a reel singing, as a good size fish realises its mistake. Put down the hot coffee and pick up the rod, yeaha!!!.
