    price check 2.5m inflatable boat

    so i have a 2.5 meter inflatable, i have no idea what to ask for it? was thinking of putting it on TM but if i thought i could get a hassle free sale through here i would rather do it that way initially.

    it was bought to use for duck season as some bugger flogged my tinnie, but have since upgraded, i have never been in the water with it and it has been stored in the garage, it has foot pump (takes about 5 mins to do all the baffles and floor), seat and i even made carpet lined marine ply base (seemed like a handy idea but in hindsight??)

    i appreciate that im meant to put an asking price on it before putting it on the buy sell page here, hence my question, what i get from this goes to get some new carry handles, retractable wheels, possibly some oars and some other upgrades on the new inflatable.....and i get some of the garage back!!!!

    what's a fair price?

    Depends whether it’s pvc or hypalon, with the latter being more resilient. If uncertain, scratch with fingernail and hypalon likely to leave a whitish mark. If not, it’s likely pvc. FWIW I paid about a grand for a hypalon Lancer 2.8 inflatable in excellent condition.

    Rule of secondhandness

    Mint= 2/3 new value
    poor= 1/3 new value
    shit=pay someone to take it away.
    Tertle and Tommy like this.

    You bought it second hand? did you get it cheap or pay a fair price?
    That, plus 60-70% of what ever you invested in it to tidy it up.

    Unless it is like Tikka where you add 100% of the modification price to what you paid for it, then calculate storage costs and maintenance and add that on.

    If it was 2nd hand when you got it, I would suggest a similar price, if you got it new then I would be asking about 70% as @ROKTOY suggests.
