Yes, consider an injector for a common rail starts around the $425+mark and depending on the model and specific injector goes up to over $1000+ per squirter. If you have a 5 or 6 cylinder engine... Injection pumps for the common rail systems are cheaper generally though, for an example the T6 engine injector pump can be had for around $1700+ where some of the mechanical piston injection pumps are several thousand. Remember to add the injector fitting and seal kit and a couple of gaskets and some labour to those prices. You can go for rebuilt/exchange, but... Not actually that much cheaper than replacing with new.
Not a cheap exercise, I had one blocked injector due to an overzealous application of sealant by a factory worker in Thailand - thanks mate. I also had one electrically damaged by the offending computer module in the vehicle. Elected to replace the set, total bill including some other work was $6500. Still got to catch up with the injection pump, as that has an electrically damaged valve in it which is a pain in the arse.
