I'm looking at a boat for Lake Taupo 90% and Tauranga Harbour for the rest.
Not really wanting to spend more then 9k, I've seen a few on TM that look nice (some with pretty new motors) but does anyone have first hand experience of the V13 model? I like it for its simple size (ie not needing 70+ HP) and plenty of room for 2 people. Any help would be great
Give me an old boat and new motor any day, I hate paddleing

Picked her up in the end, 13 foot Sea Nymph with a 50hp Etec motor, bimmi, new interior, lowrance 5x elite colour fish finder and a Navman GPS.
Goes well enough for the lake - couldn't go any bigger motor wise for that size imo and its GREAT on gas too.

yup looks like a nice we rig for the lake.... Newish motor is allways a bonus :)
Cheers guys, Yeah the motor is a 2005 iirc, its got plenty of puff for me as a first boat. When out this morning and the weather was stunning. I put the bimmi up, definitly worth the weight in gold
I do how ever need to learn a few fishing spots.

Cool Man. I am away during the week. But can catch up most weekends. However, when one gets a boat you find that your friend count triples and I am sure one of these friends will have some good spots too. Tight lines BruthaQuote:

Going well thanks Tone, caught plenty in the weekend. I pretty much always put back every fish I catch other then one for me to eat.
