Seat Covers 09 Hilux - whats good?

    Hi team,

Picking up the new gig in the AM. Looking for some decent seat covers. This is not a farm ute so they dont need to be heavy duty.

After something reasonably durable and comfortable.

Looking at these as a start point. https://seatcovermaster.co.nz/produc...b-04-2005-2016

    Budget about 3-4 hundred

They are excellent, have them in my single cab work ute. But they are also over $900 for a set for a double cab, which is not really what he’s after.

I was keen on a canvas set from rugger valley or black duck till i seen the price. Ended up going with the Ilana cyclone neoprene covers from supercheap auto. Was skeptical of the neoprene but still going well 4 years on with no fraying or material loss, still water proof too. Think they were about $240 for the set with club discount.

Doubt youll be dissapointed with the ones youve posted up!

@Gibo They look alright but I chose the canvas version for a similar price on my Hilux, they did fade a bit but were good value and easy to clean. We have neoprene set in the back seat for the dog in my partners car, not as easy to clean as canvas.

I've got a set of them for my ute, very hard wearing and my pair was $450 just b4 the field days
Black duck I think is another canvas brand which looks durable

I’ve got black duck covers in my ute. Rugged valley look very similar. The majority of mining vehicles in Oz use them. Expensive but worth it

Bought Neoprene Seat Covers from rubber tree for my Hilux a while ago
not the best experience, Neoprene cover was very slippery and lost its firm fit very quickly.
and the smell... reminded me of a wet suit smell .

Out of all the covers we fit at work...
Genuine are a pita to fit, look crap, and wear badly
Black Duck are ok, and handle heavy use as well.
Rugged Valley - far better quality and fit, and wear so much better imo.

I've had Tolley covers in the Ranger for 10 years, still going strong after two or so washes. Don't fall off, easy to fit, seats still look new under the covers, passenger is a little stained so due a wash again (I spilt a bloody takeaway coffee on the passenger side, cap popped off but the seat is not marked under the cover!).

Rock into super cheap, lost of low to mid price brands. It really depends on what fabric you want, synthetic, neoprene or cotton/denim types.

Decide this then pick your brand.
