    Some hectic racing

Sundays GNCC race. I managed the intermediates holeshot nice and clean. It was super dusty and the track was really rough and quite technical for a cross country track. Despite a stuff up getting stuck in a bog like a retard on the second lap I finally managed a decent race for the series. The body hurt a lot after finishing this one!

That would certainly shake the arthritis out of the bone joints.

I was talked into entering this event, first xc event I have ever entered, I am just an amateur trail rider. I got two laps done and that was enough for me, absolutely rooted. Got round the first lap with no falls or stops then on the second lap it all started falling apart (or off). I have the utmost respect for anyone who can pump out 7 laps in those conditions!

Awesome that you came along! It was definitely one of the more challenging XC tracks and it was very rough. Would have been absolute carnage if it was really wet.

Modern 2 strokes with dialled in suspension for the rider are real weapons for those races. Just needs the rider to be super fit Best part is if you are a serious rider clocking up the hours, a rebuild won't put you in the poorhouse, unlike the modern 4 stroke.

Dust takes some of the fun out of it. We were always over the moon if we had decent rain before an event.

Awesome, yup if my fitness isn’t up to standard it really affects my performance during a race. The most physically exhausting activity I do is riding dirtbikes - most people don’t quite realise how physically demanding it is. I’m more shagged after a 2 hour race then I am after 80min on the rugby field.

Had the last round over the weekend at Maddix Park. Absolute mudder again which was awesome fun for me, maybe not for some others haha. Got my best result though, winning class and finishing second in class for the series. Just working on the video then I will have it up.

I wish I could work out how the expert guys sustain the pace they ride at for the entire race because I sure cant haha.
