    Suzuki escudo help

Hi all trying to find a way to carry dead game (deer and pigs ) home with my truck problem is the boot has my dog box which never comes out and takes up most my boot so trying to find away to cart my game home if the spare tyre wasn't so small I'd hung the animal over the tyre and tie it on but it's no that big does anyone have and idea of like a rack that attaches to say tow ball or somethings like that the tow ball is a fixed and permanent unit so can't slide it out Name: image.jpg

Make/buy an alloy tray that mounts to your roof racks

I would use one that does not allow blood to come through

Or the old taxi luggage rack in the towbar frame.

Tied across the bonnet would be good for the redneck look.

I wonder if a stainless fridge/freezer door could be adapted?

trailer perhaps or all you would need is a made up heavy duty bike rack that fits on the tow bar easier than trying to get something big up on the roof other option is put it in the passenger seat and make sure it wears its seat belt i managed to fit a deer in the back of my little corolla once got some pretty strange looks on my way back up to dorkland

Can you not reduce the height of the dog box and put the deer/pig up on top of dog box?

What about pushing the back seats forward, and the the box, then a good old 2 metre $5 tarp in the space thus created? A new tarp will keep the crap off vehicle inners, and cheap enough to bin if crapped up

I know a hard case old fella that use to own a 3 door Rav4. He does a heap of hunting and does several trips over Rahtihi way each year for meat hunts and the Fallow rut. Anyway after one of these trips he had shot several deer, and had run out of room in the little Rav to put them all and the rest of his gear. He still had to fit in one more deer, so he sat it up in the passenger seat and secured it with the seatbeat.

Apparently he got some very strange looks when people pulled up beside him at intersections, seeing a headless deer sat up strapped in beside him.

I use a heavy duty (Over engineered and home made) Bike rack. I made it to hold my bike, and welded a couple lugs to hold fuel cans too.

I agree - should be able to get a Q'spear rack pretty cheap and this just goes over the tow ball and tightens with an Allen key.

...quality easy fitting rack... | Trade Me

Definitely the strongest buggers out there

Don't do that - ran a rack on my Vitara for a few years, big animals put too much pressure on where the mounts join the roof - and the flex split the roof.
Might be different with gutter mounted bars though.
