    Trailer brakes

He any experts out there , what are my options to stop my brakes banging , ie too much travel . There is no adjustment that I can see ? . Heavy Grease maybe ? , or a new coupler ?

Unfortunately I'm no expert. But does the brake line need bleed? Would that cause it to bang?

Lack of fluid or air? Is the banging the shunting at the coupling metal to metal when brakes apply. Any sign of metal to metal marks at the shoulder? Looks OK in photo.
Maybe pads worn (experts need to comment) and a lot of fwd movement of the trailer relative to the towball b4 brakes apply?

banging is the movement of the coupler . About 25 mm slack , its when you take off again it bangs , pisses me off

under the large rubber boot is a hydraulic dampener that leaks all its oil out and then the brakes bang off and on,it is able to be overhauled with a repair kit from a Trojan parts dealer and its only a few dollars, it must be assembled in the right way as if its done wrong you end up solid connection with no cushion effect.must take the coupling off to do it and a stillson wrench to undo the brass nut under the boot.instruction normally come with the repair kit.I am a brake and clutch specialist and have done dozens off them.

burning of fuel is not the issue, its the refilling of the tank that makes me all faint. Also some of the fuel budget got reassigned to Terminator Products

Sounds like the lines need bleeding. if that dosent work you nay need new seals in cylinder. Sometimes it is cheaper to just get a new cylinder. Should be an off the shelf part.
