Hunter Class Shoot 4th November 2018 Te Puke Rifle Club

Hunter Class Shoot Sunday 4th November 2018 for Hunting and Sporting rifles.
Open invitation to all members of the public.
We run this event as a fundraiser and as a introduction to Target Shooting in an effort to make us more visible to the Shooting Community.
We are fortunate to be sponsored by Whakatane Hunting and Fishing who have provided the bulk of the Prize Table for this event with additional aid from Hamertons Lawers and Collings Guns both also from Whakatane .
As requested we will be running two of these Public Shoots this season the first on Sunday 4th NOVEMBER 2018 and the second Shoot on Sunday 24th FEBRUARY 2019
To help us in preparing for the event we would appreciate those intending to attend to book their spot by contacting our Club Secretary Alan Dickson 0212512843

The Range is open every Saturday, weather permitting during the season visiters welcome

A question has been asked as to what constitutes a factory rifle?

For this shoot it doesn't matter! We are running this shoot to introduce our range to a wider group of shooters and hopefully provide an enjoyable day where hunters can try longer ranges, see what the wind can do, and relax afterwards with a BBQ and beverage.
There is a NRANZ competition class for a bog-standard factory rifle as sold in a economy package deal by most retailers that we would like to encourage, but for this shoot bring what's in the cupboard whether its a sporterized .303, a package deal Howa or your custom drip-dry stainless/carbon wonder-toy. You will be grouped like with like.

All entries will be scrutinized, and put in like categories, so that we can accept most who wish to shoot. The exceptions will be any rifle that exceeds 8mm in calibre, and any rifle with an attached muzzle-brake. Our range standing orders prohibit these.

The requirement to enter is to turn up with a rifle with a hundred yard zero, enough ammunition, earmuffs, a pack or bipod to support the front of the rifle, the entry fee and a good attitude.

The weather forecast is improving every time I look at it, and it looks fine for Sunday.

There are two other threads with information on past shoots, one in Clubs and another in Shooting. Directions to the range are on our webpage https://www.sporty.co.nz/tepukerifleclub

Plenty of room, but It would be good if you would ring Alan at the supplied phone number to confirm your spot.
