Thread: Newby really needs some wiser more seasoned hunters advice to get started please

Hi Mike. Welcome aboard. Possibly wrong place to post though so a mod might move it for you.
I'd recommend you don't get Badger to chase down goats (or any game) as you need to be the hunter not him. Use his keener senses to your advantage but make sure he knows who is running the show.
Crossbows are great for killing zombies but not too much else. I'd suggest you explore other options like either a compound bow or a rifle.
Sorry I don't have any clues with the Wellington region for hunting goats.
