Right boys'n'girls

As has become the norm I will be running an auction on the Saturday night after prize giving, We are getting quite organised & professional with this nowadays and we ( the forum members & Toby "rip mate" ) should be very proud of our efforts having raised over 20k in the past three years.

This year the auction will be the main fund raiser with all proceeds going to The Child Cancer Foundation and I would be very grateful for any donations of gear, equipment or items to go under the hammer just PM me with any quires


Also I would like to get forum members that can't attend to get more involved, a live Facebook stream maybe a option (will see what happens ) getting any forum members that wish to bid on an item can PM me with a "phone bid" which will be keep confidential & maybe we can run a raffle ( but this comes with lots of complications ie payments, tickets etc ) any decent / practical ideas are welcome



I realise the TGM shoot is still a few months away but have been approached by & spoken to a very generous forum member with an item to put up so why not start the ball rolling

$200 reserve 14p stock up for auction if it doesn't sell I will keep it in my trophy room. Glad to support The Child Cancer Foundation. RIP Toby. Have been given shit since I joined this forum about accuracy and distance with the trusty old 14p Stirling bolt action.

Forum member @erniec ( aka Owen Cotton ) has very kindly offered a bwety little rifle - scope combo to go under the hammer.

Remington 700 .223 Bushnell 4-18 AR scope,Harris bipod 3 boxes ammo and some empty brass.

Note there are reg's & rules when auctioning off a firearm so any rifles - shotguns sales will all be strictly by the book

Here you go @Philipo , I thought I would bump this along as we only have five months to go.

A Badlands Bino’s Bivvy in as new condition as I have only used it once on safari in Africa recently. This includes a Camelbak water bladder (brand new / never used) for the fold out water bladder holder on the back of the shoulder strap and as a sweetener, an old pair of Tasco “Lazer” 12x50 coated optics binoculars that have had more use than a “K” Road hooker but still work better than the average bloke’s looking peepers.

@Philipo, bro I'm happy to help out again with "phone" bids - worked ok last year, if we have decent signal at the venue could try the FB live thing as suggested.

I'm currently approaching business about getting items donated, plus I know a couple of other members that are actively doing the same.

Will be there this year (hopefully) and have a fairly lightly used Baikal in 7.62x39 I would like to put up for auction. After a brain cancer scare myself recently the more we can raise for cancer research the better.

And in particular CHILD cancer research having lost young family and friends to the scourge that it is.

Apologies for the crap pictures, neither myself or my phone are very good photographers.

Disclaimer: the stock has been refinished by myself because I hated the AK red and also reshaped/thinned quite a bit of the standard Baikal "rough edges". Added a grip cap to increase the depth of the grip. May not be everyones flavour but I like it.

There is no reserve as any bid that wins goes to a very worthy cause. It has already paid for itself in Venison as far as I am concerned.

Nice to see some of the forum faithful & advertisers coming to the party & we're still months out, thats awesome thanks everyone :thumbsup:

Looking like I'm going to be very busy on the Saturday night & it's always hard selling all the donated stuff in a room of only 40 -50 people so I'd like to get a few more involved, I'll open up phone or PM bids again closer to the date with hopefully a few takers

A couple of raffles would be cool but this is time consuming & tricky having to organise everything, but I'll see if I can sot something once I get back form Tahr hunting.

@Philipo Can't make it to the shoot so here's something for the auction or raffle its up to you @jakewire is coming so I'll give it to him to bring up

Excellent thanks Harry, pity you can't bring it up in person.

Once we get closer to the date & see what goodies we have I'll work out whats going to happen, I might get a couple of raffle books and have two or three " $2 pub style" raffles on the night.
