Was an interesting night, My feelings are, they are still just coming to realise what has happened to law abiding FAL citizens. None of the three present had an FAL. There was a fair amount of political bullshit for the vote. They will help us with repealing some of the actions imposed by the current arse holes, BUT as Simon said "we need to realise, NO govt will every go back to the old days" I got the feeling they still have a fear of firearms, he called them "weapons" and was corrected. They would reverse some of the ability to own "nasty" firearms for competition shooting under NZ pistol admin, ie B cat, Id really look forward to those draconian rules, but better than nothing? maybe, but you ain't taking them deer hunting etc.. They would look at dumping the cops role in administrating firearms, that's a positive.
They got their beans from many speakers, overall, good on them for fronting, what has happened is past, they will not support the new laws unless their "13 points for change" are accepted, they are keen for input on those 13 points, check their web site, and will consider extending them if you guys give the help with want you see needing to be added.
