Since I have been using 18650 batts they have gone from 2400ah too 5000mah.
Has anyone used these newer versions? Do they last longer or something?

don't believe the huge claims of these manufacturers/retailers. Ask Mudgripz. You'll be lucky to get 3000mAh from any of them.
Just rip open an old laptop battery,you'll have 6 spares:cool:
If they claim to be anything higher than 3100mAh then they are just fake chopped up laptop batteries. I had a black and gold trustfire pair that claimed to be around 4000mAh and all they did was blow up my headlamp the 2nd time it was used.
