    I have a bit of a OCD thing on things that cut being sharp(hangover from my other trade)
    I love HARD steel blades, most commercial knives are pretty soft.

    I agree vietnamcam.
    If it's not sharp, it's a stick!
    I had a quick look on Trade Me for Damascus blades.
    There are a few cheapy's there, but as for the rest then the Japanese blades compare very well for price.
    Plus, I don't know that I would happy with a Trade Me, Chinese made, so-called Damascus blade.
