I have lots of knives, and can attest to the fact that to a large extent, you get what you pay for. All knives can perform all jobs, but they are generally designed for a specific purpose therefore more knives are better. For hunting I carry two piggybacked together - a Bark River Fox River and a Bark River Woodsman Special. The two sizes complement each other very well. For boning out I use a NZ made Duel boning knife. The blade shape and wooden handle are just superb for the task.
