Best underwear for both hot and cold.

Asking this questions as have just come back from on holiday in Europe via Singapore.
    Temp range 9c-30c.
Suffered in Singapore with the heat.
Have always worn cotton underpants mostly presents Birthday and Xmas I am past well hating getting them for for a present.
Especially when you have to pay for them yourself so needs ideas on what to hint for.
I have found them ok NZ hunting North Island bush dri back pants in the winter and with such as rugby shorts cotton or nylon in the summer.
What do you guys and gals wear that works for you.
Ie dries quickly, doesnt stink too much, doesnt scratch, holds its shape, not too hot not too cold.
    Cheers erniec.

    And Scottish, wear a kilt

Summer time anything that doesn't give you a rash when wet or damp from sweat

Well we swap info on everything else.
Boots socks rifles etc but the only info you get is manufacturers saying theirs is the best.
My brothers a shearer and he goes commando reckons it beats the sweat etc.
But not really an option for me.
