Bino repairs in NZ?

So after a bit of bouncing around on the 4 wheeler today one of the lens in the bino has either had an internal seal or prism move, based on a comparison between the two lens looking through the objective lens’. The result is some nice black specks and the feeling of being slightly cross eyed looking through them when focused. :roll:
They’re Zen Ray HD Primes and have great glass normally. Unfortunately the lifetime warranty means fack all when the company no longer exists. Joys of buying slightly obscure brands. Had a good run from them but not keen on forking out a couple k just yet on new euro glass. Is there anyone that can recommend a business in NZ that can carry out repairs? Cheers

Good binos and worth fixing. @Brian uses a chap in Upper Hutt who he says is pretty good.

I have a set of ED3s and had a similar sounding issue (crosseyed and wouldn't focus properly). Turns out the housing for the eyecup/ocular lens was a loose fit on the left barrel and had slipped out of alignment. Winding the eyecup in and pushing it home firmly lined everything up again and fixed the problem. Probably won't help but might be worth checking before sending em off for repairs.

Bugger, I see someone selling some Minox for $300 they would be a good filla inner to keep you going in the short term.

Yeh I saw those as well. Not too sure what I’ll replace mine with eventually. Will see if insurance will cover the loss for a start.

absolutely100%endorse him google him beeven with major bino problems -i found him slightly eccentric but he didnt ridicule me when Ihad 2 bently scopes reconditioned and reticles changed(75.00 in late 1980s) enough for both to serve me admirably for another 20yrs-the big 4x40 on top of my .303.
