I got a pair of size 10s today. Apparently the Buller gumboots are being discontinued. The Ashley's are to continue and are $99 at the show

Damn good price, my uncle swore on these for hunting, reckoned the soft rubber cushioned the sound if you stepped on a root or stone, never tried them myself but at this price would give them a go!

It's a very sad sad state of affairs.. The mighty buller is no longer, they have carried me many a mile and seen so much.. The end of an era..

I preferred the Ashley, much improved ankle support but in general with those by the time you chucked a decent insole into them for comfort any advantage was a little lost. The canvas workboot had a better sole I reckoned, the Bullers and Ashley's were bloody lethal on papa and wet rock or anything with a clay base despite what looks like a grippy sole...

I still have a set of Perth hitop gummies, one of the best in the business and used to use them hunting but the same sole moulding and the same disadvantages. I found lightweight boots were a shitload quieter, better for your feet comfort and soreness wise and much improved grip on the planet
