The compass wont calibrate.
Ive re-done the compass calibration at home, at a hut and in a remote paddock.
Ive re-set the thing.
Still no joy.
Any ideas?

Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing, and right-doing, there is a field. I will meet you there.

Send it back to Garmin?
You weren’t standing on or next to your quad or ute when you tried it in the paddock?
Not holding unit flat or rotating unit too fast while calibrating ?
Does it have coverage reception
For my one its quite sensative to how fast you turn it etc...
Well this maybe worth a crack it worked with older units. Turn it off, turn back on.when it asks you if time and date are blah blah blah...say NO even if it's correct. This makes unit reconnect with the "mothership" type deal and sorts all sorts of issues lol.
75/15/10 black powder matters
Do you have fully charged or new batteries in it and do you have your cellphone or another transmitter within a close distance?
If that is all good, and you have tried a factory reset about the only other suggestion I would have is update the firmware or of it is the latest, re-install the same firmware and try the thing again. Apart from that, it might be a send it back to mom moment for some cuddles?
Expanding on that, if you have calibrated the compass with a source of interference close by it might have given the unit a bum steer no pun intended. Another possibility is solar activity which apparently there is a bit of at the mo?

Solar activity happens this was with a Garmin in the cruiser a few years ago.
Noticed it when the turn off to Mavora Lakes was out by a bit.![]()
