I use Duracoat on all my rifles. Easy for diy, and if you apply it thick enough it really does a perfect job of protecting against scuffs, scratches and rust.Quote:

No experience with Ceracoat, but from what I’ve heard it is a great product as well - just not as diy friendly.

My factory cerakoted rifle (Sauer)has lost a bit of the coating after a couple of falls. Doesn't seem that durable because they weren't bad falls and I'm careful with my rifle. Once it's started flaking it's easy to come off.
