Walking through Mitre10 Mega yesterday looking for a cheap deadlock I was mildly surprised to see gunsafes there so thought I'd put up a pic
I can't vouch for how good they are but they look relatively cheap compared to other prices I have seen around so if it is of some use to someone..

I use smaller Jobmate safes for ammo storage and find them good for that.
some of the cheapy digital locks can be opened by use of a strong magnet
That is fixable quite easily to be fair. But I do prefer the keyed locks for outright reliability as the electronic locks usually have a key backup anyway.Quote:

Not everyone has the fabrication skills and access to folders and whatnot to make their own
One other thing if anyone is looking for cheap storage - once in a while fireproof filing cabinets come up on Tardme and they make excellent ammo storage - I got a 3-drawer Chubb one for 40 bucks out of a corporate furniture disposal place and I recommend those suckers but be warned, they are over 150 kilos to move
