    I've had issues using petrol in Coleman stoves - the jets clog up (NZ fuel is too dirty apparently).

    For the OP - white spirits are good in Coleman stoves and lanterns (I had a bad batch of "white sprits" from Supercheap Auto that smelt more like kerosene.....won't be using their product anymore)

    Do you filter it?(coffee filter works).
    Never had any issues with Coleman or Whisperlite units.
    Overkill is still dead.

    Yes - Coleman filter. (Benefit of making it easier to fill....)
