Must have a bit of steel etc, 50kg for a 5 gun safe.....

I have a 5 or 6 gun one, similar style, A cat. And it certainly doesn't weigh 50kgs, maybe 10-15 kgs.
Please excuse spelling, as finger speed is sometimes behind brain spped........ Or maybe the other wayy.....

    Paint ball shop?
Doesn't paint come in buckets or tins? And why would a paint shop sell safes?

Is there such a thing as A cat certification?
It doesn't meet the recommended thickness (3mm walls) according to what came with my FAL renewal notice, which is also what the vetter checked for, so he might have said not good enough.
It says compliant under the regulations, but the regulations are not specific so it's pretty much up to the local arms officer to decide. I have heard from a couple I of sources that they are going to standardise/specify storage requirements (and they will be higher than they have accepted in the past).

On a different level, the 1-day website regularly has very similar safes for about that price, and eight gun ones for $249.

I have a 5 gun version with the digital combination lock on the main door and key for the amo box. It was quite heavy from memory and it does the job fine. Happy with mine, the rifles don't fit that well with scopes on but many safes have that issue. I am going to mod mine to bring forward the barrel rest to give the scopes some space.

    Next to useless for me.......

Only holds 5 rifles, I'd damn near need the whole shipment just to hold what I got let alone what I want

    Cheers

    Its too small.

There is no such thing as "A cat certification"

Other than that it might be fine to put 2 maybe 3 long arms in without scratching them up.
