    Cookers.

Primus Omnifuel Ti or Optimus Polaris Optifuel?
Round the same dosh and the Optimus has a single jet as opposed to changeable, depending on fuel type, on the Primus, but the Primus weighs less and uses less fuel.
Does anybody have either of these?

Sure you need a large heavy stove? Have used MSR pocketrocket 2 AND MSR pocketrocket deluxe and highly recommend both. Not fantastic in wind but no open cookers are. Ofcourse if weight is not a serious consideration, then go one of your mentioned cookers by all means.

    Cheers
By law, you are required to turn on your headlights if it's raining in Sweden.

How the hell am I supposed to know if it's raining in Sweden?

I use the Omni fuel not the Ti model can run on both gas canisters and white spirits, I only use it on big fly in trips and winter tahr. It can burn a steak ,melt snow quick and simmer a stew no problems.

Been looking into cookers myself and came across this site. Interesting to compare different products.

I have a lightweight for minimalist trips where I'm using BC's and cooking porridge for breakfast, and it has leg adapters so I can use non-proprietary fry pans and pots, but that's gas. It's a Primus ETA light and good for what it does. https://www.bivouac.co.nz/primus-eta...ve-system.html
The two options above are for winter above the bush line trips where gas is dodgy. What I like about the other two options is their versatility in that, as the son of Dutch Jew/Scot, I can save on costs as gas canisters are typically around the $10 mark for Isopropne, and I believe, over ime, despite the upfront costs, I'll save money.

Which is why I'm leaning toward the Ti;same capability but a fair bit lighter. 223 grams for the Ti burner head and 336 g for the Omnilite, plus the Ti is significantly smaller.

Great article thanks. Doesn't include the Optimus though and that would have been handy.
