EBAY from UK was also a puzzlement to me for a while.
I wondered why all UK sellers insisted on sending the goodies via the more expensive "tracked and signature required " when there was never any tracking here in New Zealand, nor any signature ever sought.
I discovered just this month the reason being that they can not claim a refund from UK Post for "missing" goodies unless sent tracked and signature required.
So we colonials get hammered for a service we never receive..........Sigh.

Hmmmmmm. As I feared. an email from USPS arrived this morning.

" Your package has a delivery exception. Your item was returned to the sender on October 11, 2021 at 7:47 am in CHICAGO, IL 60688 because of an incorrect address. "

I wonder what happened to the famous Pony Express motto, "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds," sometimes also considered to be the motto of the United States Postal Service, which incidentally is inscribed on the James Farley Post Office in New York City. Sigh.

However, their attitude and inaction seem totally inline with their Country's new President's skill sets.

It sat on their shelf for 38 days and now they make a totally incorrect claim that it had an incorrect address!? The retailer will obviously refute the "incorrect address" and has said once it is returned to him......(in another 38 days I wonder?) and he will email me with "options."

Any body know who has to wear the paid postage costs?

Just got off the phone with USPS - they have officially decided my delivery is lost and closed the inquiry. Not that anyone bothered to contact and tell me that of course.
@Longranger - any joy with Brownells and non-USPS shipping options?

My parcel has been returned to the post office in the town of the vender. Awaiting their collection. 7 f....n days now.
Have sent them (21st Century) 2 emails but have received no reply. Getting pissed off with them now as well USPS. Will get up early tomorrow and ring them.

Received a news letter from Reloading International (projectile source) advising that USPS Priority Mail Express is still available to Oz and NZ, at increased cost of course.

@PaulNZ .....no joy with Brownells order so I have cancelled it.

Strange things are going on with shipping USPS. Tools ordered from Florida were sent in two boxes to San Francisco before the suspension notices were made public......one arrived last week, and the other is AWOL and both are still in transit to the destination......?

Thanks for the update. Guess I'll defer any further orders from Brownells until something changes.

Zimmer - yeah, just when you think someone like USPS has cornered the market on incompetence, you find there's actually plenty of it to go around. Very frustrating.

If any of us hear of useful changes or find a method that makes shipping from the US viable again, lets post it up here.

You know the pony express went under in less than 2 years aye, which does seem a swift completion I s'pose.

Pleasant surprise today- bought a Teslong borescope from the US and it arrived this morning, exactly seven days after I ordered it! Takes longer than that to get stuff from CHCH via NZ Post half the time.

BRT Shooters Supply in Aussie has been my go-to for 21st Century product. Not the most prompt at delivery, maybe 2+ weeks from ordering.

I had the same experience last week. Purchased a new borescope via Amazon (but order filled by Teslong) plus some other items and all arrived sooner than expected.

Purchased many reloading items off Annie over about a 12 year period. All brands. Unfortunately they don't stock the 21stC item in question. Never had problems with delivery except some delays when they took holidays or were overseas shooting. Also made sure I dealt with Annie.

They've just recently restocked a lot of their 21stC expander mandrels so I guess that will include other 21stC items. Their stock was looking pretty sparse, like most other retailers.

Prior to BRT I used to deal almost exclusively with Russ Haydon's Shooters Supply in Washington State. Unfortunatley he retired.

Don't give up hope on it.

I had the same message regarding a tow bar, it was sitting in the delivery office for weeks.I got a message saying I had a week to collect it or it was getting sent back. The message you received could be USPS's version of an error message.

    My update.

My parcel saga is over thank goodness. F..k USPS.

My parcel safely made it back to the seller (21st Century) who offered a full refund or to hold for a while in the hope things would improve.
I saw no immediate chance that that would happen so took the full refund. They immediately refunded.

The final damage was NZ$25 not recovered due to a small change in exchange rates since I was initially billed plus unrecoverable Off Shore Service Margins(2.1%). Parasitic banks.

I have bought off amazon recently ( twice ) once in September (6 days delivery from US) and again in October (9 days) I thought by October things might have gotten slow, but doesnt appear to be the case so far.
Usually slower to get from customs to my door than 1/2 way round the world.

And a big thumbs up from me for BRT as well, always been good service / prices
