Down jacket. Stoney creek vs Hunters element

Really torn between the two down jackets, have only really heard good things about the stoney creek one and haven't seen any reviews of the hunters element.
Have other gear from both brands and cannot fault it.
    Both cost the same..

If anyone has any advice it would be much appreciated

Buy a nz made down jacket from Blair at ‘wear on earth’ in Christchurch. Japanese and European fabric with European goose down. I’ve got two of his hooded waterproof ones, good gear

The Stoney Creek are excellent, Cactus make an excellent one. But "Wear on Earth" is a cut above again. Well worth the money. Dont get hung up on the price, look at it as a long term investment in your comfort.

Stoney Creek ones are shit. I have one and it does not breathe at all and builds up moisture inside at an alarming rate. Have messaged stoney creek about this and they just fobbed me off and basically said "it's designed for sitting around camp, not exerting yourself" yet can't even sleep in it, don't even need to get warm and you end up a damp mess. I wrote a post about this on one of the FB hunting pages and a tonne of people said exactly the same.
    270 is a harmonic divisor number[1]

The sum of the coprime counts for the first 29 integers is 270
270 is a sparsely totient number, the largest integer with 72 as its totient
Given 6 elements, there are 270 square permutations[3]
    10! has 270 divisors
270 is the smallest positive integer that has divisors ending by digits 1, 2, …, 9.

    Don't buy SC or HE.

For less money you can get a wear on earth, no comparison in quality

Sc is a primaloft jacket so is that down a synthetic insulation? And the hunters element is 650 loft duck down compared to the hoe 750 loft goose . Goose down being larger has more loft power. Im unsure if weights in each but going of that I would say the wear on earth would be warmer I’m also in the market for a down jacket but seems a no brainer to me . Thanks for the recommendation I didn’t even know they existed

HE can be a gamble, i bought 2 identical jackets, mine is going great, warm and waterproof. the wifes one suffered horribly from fade and leaked on the seams.
and just to throw a spanner in the works, sure you can buy nz made but it will be made with fabric from overseas (usually asia)

Wear on earth, cactus quality at a better price, unless you want canvas covered down in which case you need to buy from cactus.
