Cheers @ROKTOY - got a couple of Maxtoch off @burtonator earlier this year for a Armytek headtorch (great piece of kit so far). Picked up a couple of cheap Panasonic knockoffs from Aliexpress for a C8.

Was curious to know the actual capacity of the Aliexpress ones!

WOW.. Did some tests last night on the new 2X with red led, and the 2X with usual white led plus new circuit board. Very impressed. Meter tested them for lux output, then took them outside to shine around a park. These really are amazing lights.

First up the red 2X recorded 154k lux - amazing for a red led. That translates to about 779 meters max range, and after shining the torch round park I was impressed with the red led's distance. It will no doubt pick up eyes out to several hundred meters, but beam also has a little spill - enough to sweep paddocks. In all a very handy torch and I look forward to testing it out on the farms soon when the ground dries out.

The latest white beam 2X with new circuit board is an absolute ripper. So are the old ones, but this one has a little more to offer. Recent batches of white 2Xs tested out at average 365k lux, but this new one topped the 400 at 403k on my meter. Turning it on after the red one it has huge power within the night shooting range. Even in city lights it lit up buildings 500 meters away. Phenomenal torch - and I notice the clip on wrist strap is better quality too.

Can't help but be impressed with these lights. Very good build quality and astonishing performance, esp for the buck. Tested out my upgrade M24 at 315k lux - so both maxtoch 2X and the lighter M24 hunter lights are right at the top of the market. Best all purpose hunter lights in the world. Will do batt runtime test on the new 2X today.

If you've got a 365k 2X already you do not need to go buy a new 400k lux one. No point - all the models from 300-400k do the spottie job superbly. Be good to hear some comments from guys who've already tested the new red led 2X in the field...be after tailing before we get out.

    Note - Lux meter results +/- 3%.

Took the new red light maxtoch for a spin Saturday night on the back of a mates farm. Got 2 deer out of mob that had jumped the fence to feed on the paddocks. They didn't flinch when spotlighted and in fact one of them kept feeding right up until we bowled it
My mates were ultra impressed about how the deer weren't troubled at all unde the red light. Won't be using a standard light again on deer or possums

Have you got any batteries for sale at the moment @burtonator ? i think I have cooked my main set. I put them on to charge and I only just remembered them a week later. Now the charger just constantly blinks the red LED!!!

I have now had a chance to play with my new Maxtoch H10r headlight ( thanks @burtonator).
Very impressed with the output. Tad on the heavy side, but as it uses an 18650 battery, that is no big surprise.
I can easily see my 100 yard gongs clearly enough to shoot, so I am sure it will do more than I will ever need from it. Bloody well built and superb value Imho

How good are your scales? Website states 70g bare weight, where as the Zebralight site quotes 39 grams for their H600w, Seems quite a weight difference for semi comparable head torches?

My Zebra Light H600 is 40g for torch alone, 67g with strap, 117 all up (with battery and strap).
Experience. What you get just after you needed it.

Opinions on this?? seems a top light.
By law, you are required to turn on your headlights if it's raining in Sweden.

How the hell am I supposed to know if it's raining in Sweden?
