Perks of the Explorer InReach system is if it has a current InReach subscription, it can be used to send an SOS.

I recieved a gps in mail today....from good fella on forum....first thing I did after checking to make sure he had whiped all his primo hunting pozzies (which he had) was to whipe all the saved tracks...then I added first waypoint and labeled it HOME......pretty darn simple really...if an honest person ever finds it,they can find me.
MAYBE the person who owns gps unit wasnt supposed to be in area, thus police interest????

Don't ever do that with a car GPS.
Its a well known tactic of unsavoury types to break into cars at malls etc, take the GPS, then go straight to your home - because they now know the address and that you aren't there!
I've loaded the neighbour's address into mine

Could be a sting, the number of illegal fishing nets "found" and advertised as such has reaped a rich harvest over the years.
