    I just got one too, only had the standard road maps etc on it, you can download the topo map you need free from NZ Topo Map - NZ Topo Map , click on the little downwards pointing arrow in the tool bar on the left and choose the map you need, then plug your gps into your computer via usb and drag and drop the kmz file into your gps custom maps folder, ive got 3 already and heaps of free space
