alphas can be paired with other alpha and astros can be paired with other astros..... not each other....stoopid really
oops mighta spoke too soon just a quick squiz on garmins website and nothing about astros pairing
Astros are only tracking not communicating.

Mate and me carry a collar and 430 each whether after pigs or deer
Has saved a lot of hassles.
Went for the 430 as it runs on AAs and Alpha is recharge
