I like to buy local and don't mind paying a little more for it but as already mentioned, apart from apparel the small town local store has hardly anything in stock. Everything has to be ordered in, They often don't even have 308 or 223 ammo. It's easier to just go to one of the big shops in a larger centre and just get what you need
considering what you can buy local can also be bought online your essentially paying for good service. How many people want to pay for shit service?
Well I went local anyway as the guys at the local shop (H&F... don't have any smaller shops around here) offered a package deal discount for rifle, scope, rings, suppressor and bag. Plus they were super helpful and very pleasant so why not support 'em, right?

They actually went above and beyond to get me exactly what I wanted as quickly as possible (including running around Auckland to grab the rings I wanted urgently and turning up to work early on Matariki day to boresight my package) Can't fault the lads service at all.
The H&F rhetoric on here is so old. It’s pointless too. Not shopping at your local H&F does nothing to the central management responsible for the position they took, it only takes away sales from the local who runs their own actual store with their staff (not that they will notice you missing anyway). Like any business, some stores are good and some aren’t. My local H&F (Manawatu) is full of good buggers and the store owner is a real good bugger who looks after his customers and staff. Im in there far more often then my wife would like because of this.

Haha oh no, I’m not about to write the entire forum off. Just learning what it’s like here.. especially when asking questions.. not about having a thick skin either, that kind of thing doesn’t bother me.
I’d just rather not have to wade through pages of guys ranting and arguing over completely irrelevant politics to glean the odd nugget of info on a specific subject haha.
The reason we as a forum are a bit twitchy about people with multiple accounts etc.. , is that we have had a few scammers and fakers on here in the last little while so people are looking to see if there is any funny business going on.
