Gloworm Headlamps
A few clever guys at glowormlites.co.nz have come up with a world class lighting system for us outdoor types
The three models that interest me are the
X1 100-950 lumens
x2. 100-1500 lumens
XS. 100-2500 lumens
My trials bike has average lights so i use the X2 up high and can see enough to do 60kph at night offroad.
The X1 is the featherweight and gives me 48hrs runtime on low and 100 hrs with the X2 battery pack
X2 on helmet and X1 about to go on headband
Either of them can mount to the headband.

The website is well worth a look and they are perfect if you want/need serious lights.
Im away for the weekend and will take some night time pics pitting these two up against the led lenser H14 and T7 M as the weekend progresses.

I have been using a x2 for several years, it's a good light. For a company that started out just ripping off Gemini lights(and I believe the owner used to work for Gemini) they do seem to be upping there game battery wise. Good warranty backup I'm told as well.
Ps, try using the extension cable to mount the battery off the helmet as the extra weight causes the helmet to shift around in a crash

Gloworm Headlamps
Anyone else using an X1 or 2 yet ?

No but I am using these er uh slightly cheaper versions with the cheap 18650 four pack batteries. I prefer to attach the light to my dirt bike helmet visor as opposed to the bike, as on steep hairpin descents the light is always pointed where you are looking, rather than that spooky feeling of the light not being in the right place as you make the turn
