    GPS Maps - what's best?

    I'm wondering if the free topo. maps for a Garmin are OK, or do you really need to buy maps?

    The free NZ maps are excellent. Download link: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...-%20Topo50.img

    Download and place in the 'Garmin' folder on your GPS.
