I need some advice.
I am looking for a pair of decent gumboots - must be lined and have proper insoles.
They must be almost as comfortable as a pair of good hiking boots.
Doesn't have to look like a mudder tyre underneath but just not a windsail flattie :)
Prefer something with a drawstring to close the top but that's not critical.
Any suggestions for me to look at please?
I use Skellerup Quattro for work. No lace up on top though. Can get a summer weight and winter one.

Aigle. My partner got some when we were in Europe and she really like them.
I dont know how far up the leg you want to go, but boonies might be worth susing out. I bought a pair from Farmlands for walking when grass is wet. I like them. Warm as well.

I went cheap and bought $30 gumboots, regretted it straight away. Too bloody noisy and uncomfortable, so got some of these. Only worn a few times so far, but :thumbsup:

BATA make a superbly comfortable gumboot but again no string. Great insole, easy on these ol feet of mine and very durable. In my Opinion they leave Skellerup red bands for dead. I always buy a pair at the Field days. 1 yr for me and then the next year for my wife. I get just over two years out of a pair and I think thats good esp the way I treat em

Can't go wrong with Boonies especially in winter. Comfy as just a bit hard to slip off.
One thing I've learnt over the years is don't be skimp on shoes/boots and the bed - we spend at least 2/3rds of our day using those two.
Biggest issue I have is not being able to try them on with all the online sales and shops that aren't close by.
Yep, I got a pair about two weeks ago. More comfortable than most others, and very light. They have a very basic insole, so you would probably want to buy decent ones.Quote:
