Hey team,
I'm looking into getting handheld thermal, with so many options out there, what's everyone's recommendations? Hikmicro, pulsar etc.
Looking at around the 2k mark.
Cheers

Have a look at pard
If you can stretch to this...https://nightvision.co.nz/product/fa...h-rangefinder/
Hight spec for money and great service
Under $2k these are the 2 best units on the market.

The 25mm for bush or the 35mm for longer range.
Highly recommend the pard leopard 256, it's a great bit of kit and at $1300 it's well priced to
I made a boring video comparing the Falcon Augurer to a lower spec thermal.

If you can stretch the budget this unit has excellent image quality and a generous field of view which makes searching for game much easier and nicer. Low NETD too giving it the best chance of differentiating things during the day. A thermal of this spec would have been over 4k this time last year. It’s a rebranded Sytong so it is a known brand. This thing really shines at spotting small game and parts of animals poking out of bush etc due to its excellent resolution.
I have an XS 03 - 35
I love it. So small light and effective. Struggle with binos often to see the animal I've spotted with the thermal during the day and especially in the evening.
