Hardy Gen 6 Suppressor good bad or otherwise?

Looking at a secondhand can for 7mm RM, low shot rate, hunting mainly. I see mixed reviews on some of the earlier gen cans, any feedback on the gen 6 model?

Often use mine on my comp rifle, as do a couple mates(who shoot waaaay more than i do too) it takes an absolute hammering during a match, no complaints here

Ended up buying it, have put one shot through it but now smells strongly of burnt oil or something. Not sure if previous owner put something other than a recommended occasional blast of wd40. Any suggestions on how best to flush them out? Temped to just five it a soak in soapy water and let it dry out real good. Likely a few weeks before I use it again.

At the end of the day they are fucking good suppressors whether there is small dicks involved or not.
The only one I have shot that are more impressive are muzzle forward and there is always the length penalty with that.
No free lunches when it comes to recoil and noise reduction.
Funny that you know his dick is small, just saying

Probably just the wd40. On the odd occasion I put it in a suppressor , they seem to smoke and stink like you say for quite awhile. You'll find it'll take a good few rounds to dissipate. On the plus side the previous owner may have been looking after it.

As a fellow small dick, I can spot the symptoms easier than your average dick

You won't reget getting a gen VI. I have 3, Gen 5, Gen 6 short overbarrel and the gen 5 long overbarrel (Stealth).
Can't tell much difference between the 5 and 6 but they are are used on very different calibers.
