Question Helinox Chair Zero, anyone got one ? thoughts ?

thinking about one of these for an upcoming Heli trip, has anyone here got one ?
how do you find it ? anyone Canterbury based got one I can have a look at ? I'm a tall bugger so wouldn't mind seeing one in the flesh to see if it will be of any use.
    thanks

I've got one of them. I'd just take a $10 warehouse fold out chair if flying.

Well it's in stock at bivouac so go try for size there

I have the chair zero and their lightest camp stretcher
    Both are great products
But I think you are too big for the chair zero Danny
It's very low to the ground and the weight goes through tiny feet
Don't try on the showroom floor
Take it out on the grass verge
And if it's not flat I think it will be worse

Bring low it's great to roll out of when drunk !

@Ryan_Songhurst I saw one in Bivouac and it looks pretty small and expensive. @dannyb looks like a big guy - it would be too small for him to be comfy wouldn't it?

I agree, the cheap Katmandu/Warehouse etc ones are all you need.

cheers Dave just for reference I'm not that fat I'm under the quoted 120kg weight limit.
your right though I was concerned that it would be too low to be of any great benefit.

Yea, I got suckered into the "gimmick factor" as had a $600 gift voucher, bought some boots then decided I needed that chair to finish off the credit on my voucher. Its OK I suppose if you were doing a big walk in trip for multiple days and decided you really wanted a chair to sit around in but although it states it has a 120kg limit you kind of feel like it's going to collapse at any minute and use energy and muscle function to kind of hold yourself steady in it. I'm 87kg so not near its limit but it's definately not a rock solid platform at my weight.

Here's what you need!! Light, quite robust and so cheap they're essentially disposable. Chair, pillow, great for hillside bino sesisons, even could possibly be used to help get a wet fire going.............

I wasn't suggesting you were far
But I'm 80kg and just couldn't see much more weight than that being practical
They are low and light and well made
But 100kg would be pushing it

    As another note
They are great for sitting glassing from in mid winter to keep off the ground

Our friends in China are selling clones of that chair for pennies. You can pay more on TardMe if time is an issue. I was just looking because we walked in to a DOC campsite recently for a family trip. No chairs for 3 days was a bit grinding by the end.

I looked at the cheaper versions but they all seem to have a weight limit of 100kgs and I would be over that not by much but it would be enough that I wouldn't be confident to use it.
I guess I'll stick to my foam glassing matt for glassing, and take a folding camp chair for places not requiring walking in.
thanks everyone. @akaroa1 wasn't having a stab just a laugh mate your all good

The similar torpedo 7 chair is rated at 100kg but I have 2 of them and friends use them that are vastly bigger than me and they have been fine
    1/3rd the price

Cargo net measured up some paracord and a small pruning saw to cut some poles and you're away with a pretty fancy lounge chair.
