    Huntech jacket/anorak

    Hey have been looking at getting one of these from H&F for $349 has any one tried one of these new jackets???
    Or would I better off getting a swazi. Cheers.

    Its the 4 seasons jacket, has just had the cuffs upgraded.

    i looked at the Huntech anoraks in shop, they dont have side splits, would bug the shit out of me climbimg hills, so i dint get one.

    Ive got the huntech softshell anorak. Given it a hard time, through Fiordland etc and been dry the whole time, once it gives out il get another one.

    Bushbuck is 1.5kg and thats dry. Silent material normally holds water as well after a while . Might be ok for a day trip or spotlighting off a quad but buggerd if Id put one in a pack.
    Something like the Kuiu guide jacket covers 95% of the job, less than 1/2 the weight and sheds water, add an ultralight gortex rain jacket for the real wet. Layering is by far the best option if your packing.
