Ice breaker make winter weight long johns.
Righty ho, bought some Micro Tough Pants and as others have said they are bloody good.. Thanks Guys
I have 2prs of green ones and they are pretty good. Stoney will repair them for any holes even from a bullet (??) - I've torn the arse on mine from barb wire and they repaired them free.
My mate has the camo ones and I notice that the camo doesn't hold hook grass or mud stains like the plain green ones. I think I might change to the camo next time.
Summer is huntech shorts. Winter is either huntech shorts and poly or huntech pants. Both really good
just recently gone to longjohns and rugby shorts love them so far even after waist deep river crossings no chaffing and dry pretty fast to.
Ridge Line Air mesh pants - $55 from that mad mikes store in taupo - summer winter these are brilliant - light dry fast roomy - keep the stinging nettle away and surprising tuff - good value for money
I just hunt in longjohns and stubbies. All together cheap as chips, with good mobility, quiet as, and surprisingly temperate. Had them winter in the Kaimanawas and just about any time of the year are good temp apart from peak summer in the middle of the day. Easy to pull up to cross rivers too. The only pants option in my price-range are fleece and I find them too baggy and they get too hot.
I wear Stoney creek trousers mostly. The thicker ones in the winter time. If I over heat I can always just ring young Phillip to come and carry me. ha ha ha ha
