    Kings swags?

    Any comments on Kings swags?

It's for family camping trips, not hunting. In lieu of a campervan/caravan purchase (still haven't made up our minds), I don't want to spend another camping season in a tent.

Yes, but more rigid and less flappy and most importantly for me, off the ground on a stretcher.

Their one sits on the ground and it came with a mattress. They use it for camping out of a vehicle. Its pretty big even when folded up. I thought about one but Ive already got 4 or 5 tents

Im thinking of getting one to put up next to the ute so I can have a sleep before driving home in the morning. The late night 2 hr plus trips home are killing me.

Had one for my son - sold it. Think that sums up what he and I thought of it.
He now uses a small tent.

I've got a king swag for two. Yep,bulky but I really like gull wing flaps, mozy screens, mattress. Works as a day bed if tge misses wants bug free with shade and mesh. I use it in conjunction with an awning on the ute. I rate it as a roomy swag for 2. There are a few mods on you tube to tighten up the rigging but she deploys fast and equally quick to pack up.. they handle wet weather well if you season them right.

I’ve got one of the Hard Antler ones. Love it.
Have too many beers, roll it out, jobs a Goldie. A little coffin like but I don’t mind.

As Tahr said, perfect for that. No setup, just roll it out, jump in and you’re out to it. Sleeping bag is already rolled up inside. It’s got 2” memory foam mattress, way better than a poxy thermarest, that’s for sure.

Kings are ok, but are the cheaper option in a swag. We have two, the sides are loose and we have added more guy ropes to pull them tight. (quite a common issue and well documented online).
They really are more tent like than a true swag, just not enough room to get changed easily.
Gull wing doors are a pain in the rain as the inside of the swag and it contents will get wet, we often sling a tarp over the swag in wet weather.
The tub can have holes in the corners where they are stitched.
They are warmer than a standard tent. ANd they stay darker in the morning so you can sleep in a bit easier, although the heat will drive you to get up.
I have a single Hard antler swag and it is simpler to putup but is a true swag, so no room for swinging even the smallest cat.

I like mine. But the mattress they come with is shite.
I use an air mattress underneath to make it a bit more easy on my old bones.

Used up on the rock and pillars a few weeks ago.
It was cold and blowing it’s tits off, it I had a nice comfortable sleep and the swag felt pretty bombproof
