    @Tahr what's your opinion on ATS-34 stainless steel for a hunting knife?

    Mines made from it......

    Nothing wrong with it. Very similar to D2 and 154cm in composition and performance, which are both good stainless steels. I’ve only had it in a 3” pocket knife, and I noticed that it did not chip like D2 does. It held an edge pretty well, and it is not difficult to sharpen. Mostly used in Asian knives, and is referred to as Asian 154cm. It should serve you well.
