Very nice.
I am seriously thinking of getting a Bark River knife , this thread has inspired me .
I am no knife collector and will keep and use it for the rest of my time .
The problem I have is deciding which model and type to get .
It's hard to know when you can't pick them up and handle them .
Tahr you have done a heap more Deer processing than me and you have a large selection of Bark River's , if you had to choose one blade shape for general use , what would it be ?
Ken
Fox River in A2 steel, or a rampless Gunny in A2.
KiwiJames got a Gunny Hunter in 3V steel. This is a primo steel, but more difficult to sharpen than A2.
A2 is a one deer steel, 3V is a 3 deer steel.

3V steel certainly is harder to sharpen but really shows through after a few deer.
Good stuff James.
This is the next version of 3V, called CPM 4V.
Seems even better than 3V, but the margin is relative really, its hardly worth the bother. They will both do a couple or three deer without touching. The law of diminishing returns.
Last night (the knife is a Bark River Gameskeeper 4V):
