I have generally bought mine in from the US in 8x12 sheets. Gameco I think has an outlet in Masterton, although the webpage is Aussie based. I havent used them myself. Sheath & Scabbard Making Products and Tools Archives - Artisan Supplies

I've got some Kydex from the states before, KnifeKits.com™ : Knife & Gun Making Supplies and Tools KYDEX® worked out to be about NZ$50 with shipping (most of the cost is shipping) for 2 sheets of 12x12 inches. They have a huge range to choose from too.

There is a outfit in Otorohanga, called Stillwater, Stillwater-nz.co.nz that sell kydex sheets for $25, plus a bunch of screws and eyelets and whatever, they also sell grinders and heat threatens ovens, not bought anything off them yet but have got email from them about their products.
