    Led Lenser MH10 Advice

    Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone could shed some light on the Led Lenser MH10. My old H14 shit itself after a wee drop.
Would anyone here recommend the MH10? Is it durable and does it have a decent battery life? I have heard that the power drops every 2 mins.

    Cheers,
    Dan

Highly recommend it mate it got well used right through calving and mating last season and took a hammering in all weather I went through x5 h7s before hand. These days it stays in my hunting pack I havnt had a problem with the power dropping even after 3 nights in the bush.

Why not look at a better spec headlamp like the Nitecore HC65?
Cost you a lot less too and wont break when you drop it or turn off for at least an hour on turbo
mudgripz, gadgetman and csmiffy like this.

take your h14 back to hunting and fishing and ask them what you can do
every time iv done this they have talked to the rep and Iv been given a new replacement
Iv replaced at least 3 H7s and one h14 battery holder
it keeps me using this brand
one was my brothers and smashed to bits, still got one new to replace
he was too ashamed to take it back so he gave it to me

I dont know if we have a good rep or what but it has been awesome

it usually takes a week or longer for the rep to stop by tho so dont hold your breath and try not be pushy as its completely up to the rep and not the shop you are talking to

IF you get a decent headlamp like Black Diamond/ Petzl or the before mentioned Nitcore you wont have to take them back when they brake, cause unlike Led Lenser they will give you years of reliable service, IMHO anyway

I've had my mh10 for over a year now and very happy with it. lite and powerful, use it just about daily etc. beam is not as tight as the H14,
Good battery life and has the red diode to the rear that I like. Used it for regular dog walks during the winter on a forest track, spotting possums etc.
Only comments would be that the head band is suffering from sweat degradation, they are replaceable.
When you first turn it on which ever one of the 3 brightness levels it starts off brighter and then over a couple of minutes drops off to a lower stable level that only slowly degraded as the battery level drops. (Could argue that your eyes adjust to the reducing level of light,)
Its a bit like with your H14 where you could pick either a constant brightness or longer battery life with a slowly reducing level of light. The MH10 has choose to go for long battery life but if you need extra just pick a brighter mode or 1/2 press for the turbo function.

Had both H7 and H14. Liked the h14 but it's too heavy as a pack touch, liked the tight beam of the h7 and the ability to infinity vary the brightness but think it was the long life and water rattings of the nm10 that sold me. Plus a good price at the time.
