    [QUOTE=Deanohit;1748797]What level Zeiss?
    Because a VX6 is a very different level of scope to what is been asked about here, I came imagine a base model Zeiss bests the VX6.

    What i said, Was for the op to compare the scopes that he is thinking of buying, outside and beside each other at the same time as what is recommended by 1 person on here probably won't suit another person,
    And i gave an example of what i had experienced, when comparing 2 scopes that i had in the safe, the zeiss was about 2/3rds of the price of the VX6 at the time.
    It's got nothing to do with Brand, it has to do with what you can afford, and if there are 2-3 different brands in that price range then it is better to compare them at the same time and outside if you can as looking across a shop floor trying to compare them will give you diddly squat.
    Micky Duck and Deanohit like this.

    I can compare the Zeiss and Loopy side by side (they are both old models), but not a Burris equivalent. There is someone in Nelson selling a Fullfield 2 but I wouldn't be able to compare it to the other two.

    I'm leaning towards the vx1 or a Fullfield 2 for the lad. Durability is going to be the biggest factor at this stage.
