    Leupold or Zeiss 3-9 scope?

    Hi all

I'm after a bit of advice.

The free tasco scope we got for the lad's grendel is working, but has partially stripped threads on the ocular bell, so it loosens off if bumped. It's ok for now, but eventually either the threads will let go, or it'll fog up, and Murphy dictates that it will happen at the worst possible moment.

I've got an option of either a basic (vx1? or similar) Leupold, or a Zeiss conquest both in 3-9. The Zeiss is a bit more expensive, and obviously will give better low light performance, but how do the two compare to each other in terms of durability and warranty support?

    Cheers.
