Do I go LED or HID for a spotlight or two on my 4x4?
Have heard that some of the multi LED lights produce a lot of shadow.
I want spot rather than flood, and no it isn't for hunting purposes

I couldn't afford light force but as you say they do the job.

For vehicle mounted I'd go HID. Use about 1/3 the power of Halogen but take a little warming up.Quote:

I got a light bar on my jimny its about 500 long and cost about 130 bucks. Its not exaftly a spot but great for gravel roads at night and 4wding and blinding every motherfucker who wont turn their high beams off on the main road
Having seen Halogen, HID and LED lamps in operation, the LED lamps are taking over for sure.
Halogen is old school, HID is good. But LED is getting better. Technology is more in favour of the LED range of lighting now. There are plenty of cheap LED lamps available on Aliexpress.
Have a look at FyrLyt lamps. ;)
