Hey all,
I’m looking to pick up a cheap safe so I can get a firearms license finally! I’ve been bowhunting a bit since I moved to NZ last February but it’s time a get a boom stick. I’m definitely on a budget so I’m trying here first before I wade into the trade me waters. I’m willing to drive a bit to explore more of NZ but nearest to Tauranga would be best.
Anyone have an old 3-5gun safe they’ve outgrown? Hopefully around $150?

I bought my " 8 gun safe " off trademe for 300 bucks. Would pay to check as the 3 or 5 gun ones can be bought new for 150 odd i think.

and the number of guns they say will fit is a have, usually.
will only do if not scoped, probably mean shotguns, not rifles....
can't close the door on them if scoped unless stored sideways.

Also check the door opens all the way, one of my cheap ones is a real pain as it only opens about 60 degrees
The 1-day website has gun safes fairly regularly, I think my 8 gun one cost $250. And it does hold 8...just! They have a 5 gun version, and I think a 3 as well
buy a 10 gun that way you have enough room for 5 guns:thumbsup:

What are shipping costs like for something that heavy? Trade me ones seem to be anywhere from $70 odd to $170 for shipping!
