I brought my Crispi boots Nevada Legend from Chch Gun City so there should be a shop further down south? Worn them on tahr hunts in the Rangitata Valley - real comfy but one negative is the stitch join on the left and right outer - rubbing against big scree rocks has broken some of the stitching. Bloody annoying for the price. Less than 2 yrs old.

I've had lowas and when they wore out I saw all the hype about crispis and got a pair but I dont rate them at all. When they run out ill go back to lowas. If I could afford to id do it now. Lowas way more comfortable

I'm walking a steel toe cap version of the Crispi (not sure of the model but they look like the Nevada) and they are excellent boots. Very comfortable, and I prefer a wide fit (Asics 2E).
I also have a pair of the Valdres as light weight summer boots. They are super light, but I have found them hard on the anckles when working steep country (lack the support of the heavier boots).

Had Rangers and crispi Nevadas, weekly use and I rekon crispis have nicer toe box as I have wide feet. Comfy from start I'd go a size up. Last size I got fitted feet but on big Mish and over time felt too small new pair went up a size and been good. Far more waterproof and lasted 3 years last pair before sole started to crumble. Lowas were 18 mo the before they started to fall apart. I wouldn't buy any boots without trying on. At start soles felt hard compared to Rangers but after a few walks they soften a bit.

Well ............. was cleaning my gear this week after my last hunt and bugger me, the soles are coming of my Crispi's :pissed off:
Took them to the local cobbler today and he said that he has never been able to sucessfully reglue them due to the 'powdery' finish on the layer above the sole, and he doesn't believe that they are resolable :pissed off::pissed off:
Have sent and email and photos of Crispi who are away until the new year. Will be very pissed off if they cannot be repaired.

Just bought a pair of Crispi Titans. Salespeople are salespeople but they said if theres a problem Crispi are great to deal with, Lowa a lot more difficult. Anyway it was the fit that decided it. If they dont fit you perfectly they are no good, whatever the brand.
