Gerber , all their stuff has either been designed by a comiittee or a Govt / Corporate Marketing Dept Brain Storming Session. I have only of their early knives which is OK Brought a later one and was rubbish

Just decided I don't need another multi tool already too much of a "tool" now:thumbsup:
I've carried a Leatherman Surge on my belt every working day for the last 6 years .
I'm on my second one now . The first is still alive but lives in the draw of our hallstand by our front door . I don't tend to wear a belt when I'm at home and I've got so used to using my Surge all of the time , for just about any job you can think of that its handy to have one in an easily accessible spot in the house .
The Surge is a big heavy Multi-tool but that's why I like it . It's a Multi-tool , not a Multi-toy .
I did try a smaller Leatherman for awhile ( sorry don't remember the model ) , but soon gave it to the father In-law and went back to the Surge .
The only complaint I have is that their warrantee for breakage is a bit of a pain in the arse . I broke the tip off the main blade on mine ( using it to lever something it was never designed for ) and to get it replaced I had to send the whole knife away . They wouldn't just send me a new blade for me to install . I was without the knife for about a month before it was returned . That's when I purchased the second one , because I felt naked with it .
The old one was returned all fixed and good as new , so they do honour the warrantee's .
